Tactical Carbine This course is designed for the shooter who wants to learn proper safety, maintenance and marksmanship of the carbine rifle. This course will cover the fundamentals needed for tactical shooting. Course material and live fire drills conducted for this course include: safety, weapon familiarization, kit familiarization (weapon accessories), weapon maintenance, zeroing procedures, shooting fundamentals, shooting drills from 10-100 yards, well aimed fire drills, controlled pairs, malfunction drills, and magazine changes.
Course Length: 1 day Cost: $150 Maximum Students: 16 Prerequisites: None
Necessary Equipment: Notebook, pen and pencil, serviceable AR-15 or other tactical carbine with cleaning kit. Iron sights, or removable optic sight, magazine pouches for a minimum of 3 magazines, 250 rounds of ammunition (NO GREEN TIP), minimum of 3 10-30 round magazines (30 preferred), weapon sling, shooting glasses, ear protection, appropriate clothing for inclement weather (hot, cold, rain or snow), minimum 2qt water container.
Recommended Equipment: sunscreen, hydration system, hat, knee and elbow pads, hiking or tactical boots, pants with cargo pockets, tinted glasses, multi tool, range bag, thumb drive for class photos.
